In Karmøy, there are many hidden geocaches to be discovered throughout the year. Compete with yourself or others to reach new goals and collect points on Telltur.

Have you visited the day-trip cabin at Tuastad? Maybe you haven't been on a cave safari or tried frisbee golf?
The natural phenomenon Dueglåp is a great attraction. In the area, you can explore caves with tough rock formations and potholes. From Langåker, you can take a nice marked round trip via Taravika.
Panorama Peaks
Søre Sålefjell is Karmøy’s highest peak. 132 m above sea level may not be impressive in a mountainous country like Norway, but from here, you still have a fantastic view over most of Haugalandet and southwards towards Kvitsøy, Stavanger, and Jæren.

The highest peaks in the municipality are found on the mainland, Tronefjell (151 m above sea level) and Spannavarden (146 m above sea level) are two of them. Enjoy an orange in the sunny side on the mountain huts Kinnebu and Røyningsbu. From Syreneset Fort, you have a panoramic view from Haugesund to Stavanger. With the app Time Travel you can partake in a digital journey here – and around Karmøy. Information and maps over hiking trails can be found at Ut.no
This Year's First Swim?
“Silky conditions” can be experienced at the beautiful sandy beaches. Gorgeous coastal paths run between Åkra-Ferkingstad and Sandve Havn-Sandvesanden,- perfect destinations for hiking and beach activities; you're never too old to compete in beach volleyball or castle building, right? Maybe today is the day for the very first swim of the year in the fresh North Sea…

A spring swim from Bade-Olena with warming up in the sauna is perfect after a stroll in idyllic Old Skudeneshavn. Coffee and delightful pastries can be enjoyed in the town’s charming cafés. Classical music can be experienced throughout the palm weekend; in Falnes church and venues in town.
The miniature-golf season starts from April to September. You are invited to play in exciting surroundings in Europe's largest facility; in the Viking kingdom, on pirate island, in the park and mine, inside the barn or outside among the sheep at the farmyard.
And even though there's no such thing as bad weather (only inappropriate clothing…), there's also lots of fun indoors: Jump like a hare at Rush trampoline park or lean back comfortably at the movies.
Hear the Birdsong

In spring, it's teeming along the entire Norwegian coast! The migratory birds that went south in the fall are back, and many rare species find their way here. Bring your binoculars and camera, and maybe even a sound recorder, as this is an experience for both the eyes and ears. However, stay away from nests with eggs and newly hatched chicks during the breeding season.
If you're interested in other musical experiences, of the harder kind, then maybe Karmøygeddon is for you? From classic metal to true Norwegian black metal, over 30 nations are represented during the festival weekend in Kopervik April/May.
